Monona Terrace Rendering XXLarge T-Shirt

This stone colored t-shirt is made of 100% preshrunk cotton and features Frank Lloyd Wright's 1959 rendering of Monona Terrace on the front with his quote "Buildings, too, are children of earth and sun." On the back, "Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center Madison, Wisconsin". Wright completed eight different revisions of Monona Terrace starting in 1938 with his last rendering in 1959 right before his death. He designed arches and wave patterns to deliberately echo the curving lines of the state's Capitol and the adjacent lake. Wright said "They'll never build Monona Terrace in my lifetime, but someday they will." He was committed to designing a public space near his boyhood home of Madison, Wisconsin. Monona Terrace became a reality and opened its doors July 18, 1997. Also available in smaller sizes and long sleeve.
